History Fair at Camron-Stanford House will take place on Saturday, September 10, 2022, 11am-3pm

Thank you for being a part of the 2022 History Fair at Camron-Stanford House! We are so excited to include you among our list of treasured Bay Area history resources, and we can’t wait to gather with you as we all share our work with our community!

  • Set up will begin at 9:00am on Saturday, September 10.

    Arrival + Unloading

    Please pull into the long drive to the left of the house. You may unload your supplies there. After unloading, please find a parking spot. Parking is limited at CSH (14 spaces) and is available on a first-come-first served basis. Ample parking is available on the street. You may also choose to park your car at the OMCA parking garage, just two blocks away. If you require accessible parking, or If parking fees are a barrier to attending, please let us know right away.

    Your Space

    When you arrive you will be directed to your table. There, you will find one 6ft table and two chairs. Additional chairs available upon request.

    You may bring your own pop-up tent or umbrella, but it must be smaller than 10ft x 10ft.

    Need Power?

    We do have the ability to provide power to a small number of tables. If you require power, please let us know right away. We will do our best to accommodate all requests!

    Selling?

    You are welcome to sell your products if you bring them! Please bring your own cash boxes/square readers/etc.

    Camron-Stanford House does have public WiFi, but it is not the strongest. Please plan accordingly.

    Pre-Event Drop Off

    To help with time, you are permitted to drop off items on Friday, September 9 between 10am and 2pm. Items can be stored in our gallery space for easy retrieval Saturday morning. Please make sure all materials are organized in boxes/bins/baskets and that they are clearly labeled with your name.

    This is, of course, totally optional.

  • Each public attendee is required to have a ticket. Admission is:

    General Admission- $5

    Child 12 and under: Free

    CSH Members: Free

    Oakland Public Library Card Holders: FREE

    Tickets will be sold at the door, however, attendees are encouraged to RSVP by claiming tickets (including free tickets) through the ticketing page. This will help us plan for capacity. To encourage RSVPs, raffle tickets will be given to those who RSVP once they check in. Door prizes will be raffled throughout the day.

Marketing Assets

You are welcome to use the below digital files to assist with marketing efforts. Please let us know if you have trouble adding your logo to any of the frames and we’d be glad to assist.

100 postcards will be mailed/delivered to each participant. Please use these to share on site, at events, or send to your supporters or membership list.

When creating an event page on your website, please be sure to include the name of our sponsor, CatalogIt, and if possible, their logo (below).

We are proud to welcome over 20 local history museums, do-ers, movers, and shakers to the Camron-Stanford House for a very special History Fair. Come explore, play, and learn with us!

Each organization will have a booth where you can learn more about how they can help you better connect to the past. Browse sample exhibits, engage in fun activities, and get a sneak peek at upcoming events, programs, and much, much more!

Mini Exhibits - Interactive Learning Activities - Live Presentations - Hear/Here Community Billboard Truck - and much more history to explore!

This is the perfect event for history enthusiasts, family historians, students of all ages, teachers, and cultural heritage practitioners, alike! Anyone with a curious mind and interest in learning about the past is encouraged to join us!

How to Attend

RSVP by purchasing a ticket (or claiming a free ticket if eligible). Those who RSVP in advance will receive a raffle ticket at check in. Enter to win a door prizes throughout the day! Tickets will also be sold at the door.
