Lecture: The Family Historian- Capture and Preserve the Stories of Things

April 5 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

So many of the things around us have stories embedded in them with the memories and personalities of those who made, used and cherished them. These stories are typically lost when the last person who knows the stories confuses it or passes away without capturing it orally or in writing. Simple tools can help take you beyond the names, and dates of your ancestors and into the stories of their lives as captured in their important possessions and knowledge they accumulated. Join us for a talk about how to document and share your family’s history!

$10/General, $5/Members. Admission includes access to our current exhibit and house tour.

Dan Rael is Co-Founder of CatalogIt, a cloud-based collection management software for museums, galleries, and personal collections.
