2021 Wedding FAQ


What spaces do we have access to?

For MicroWeddings you will have private access to the garden and veranda. The interior of the house remains closed.

Are tables and chairs included?

We will provide seating for up to fifty guests for your ceremony. Your cocktail hour will include use of 2-3 six-foot banquet tables for serving refreshments. We do not allow setting up additional tables and chairs during the cocktail hour.

You may choose to bring in your own seating options if you decide to get creative with your seating arrangements!

Can I add additional hours to my contract?

At this time we are limiting our MicroWeddings to four hours, which must include set-up and clean-up time.

Do my guests need to wear masks?

Yes, all guests are expected to adhere to the guidelines set by the Alameda County Health Department, including wearing masks and maintaining social distancing.

What refreshments can I serve?

Refreshments are limited to beverages, and small-portion foods, such as hors d’ouvres, cupcakes, cookies, or similar. All refreshments must be single-serve and individually packaged. Serving of meals will not be allowed at this time.

We ask that single-use cups, plates, etc. be used at this time. All trash must be properly disposed of in the provided receptacles.

How many guests are allowed?

The number of guests who can attend your wedding ceremony will depend on the published health guidelines in place in Alameda County on the day of your wedding. We follow the current tier recommendations based on our garden capacity, which are as follows:

  • Purple Tier: 3 individual households
  • Red Tier: 30 guests (or maximum allowed by health order, if less)
  • Orange or Yellow Tier: 50 guests (or max allowed by health order, if less)

Please understand we do not have the ability to make changes to this policy. We will continue to monitor all regulations regarding cultural ceremonies and private gatherings, and will make every effort to inform you of any changes should they impact your wedding day. Staff and security will be monitoring guest counts. Any vendors (wedding coordinator, officiant, photographer, etc., must be included in your guest count, as well as yourselves!)

Can I hire a DJ?

Dance floors, dancing, and other activities are not allowed during the ceremony or champagne reception, per county guidelines for wedding ceremonies. You may bring your own speaker for music, or you may contract a professional to coordinate ceremony sound and music during your cocktail hour.

Can I hire a Caterer/Bartender/etc?

Serving of meals during your cocktail hour is not allowed at this time. You may hire catering staff to prepare and serve items, and they must adhere to all food and beverage safety protocols related to COVID-19.

Can guests enter the Camron-Stanford House?

Due to COVID-19 safety concerns, guests will not have access to the interior of the Camron-Stanford House at this time.

Does the package include a rehearsal?

MicroWeddings do not include a formal rehearsal. However we are happy to arrange a pre-wedding site visit for you and your partner on an as-needed basis.

Who will set up my wedding? What staff are included?

Camron-Stanford Staff will set up your ceremony tables and refreshment tables, according to your specifications. Our Wedding Site Coordinator will be available to help design a ceremony set up that supports your vision for your day while maintaining current health and safety guidelines, and support your event on the day of your wedding. We provide a Security Guard for the extent of your event. Wedding clients are responsible for set up of any flowers or decor, and must ensure all trash is in provided receptacles.

Can my guests park at the Camron-Stanford House?

We can generally accommodate 18 cars in our parking lot. Additional public parking is available on Lakeside Drive and on the streets surrounding the Camron-Stanford House.

What happens if my guests are not following health orders?

We kindly ask that event hosts ensure their guests adhere to all local and state health guidelines. This includes communicating expectations before and during the event. If a guest is found to not be cooperating with these requests, they may be asked to leave by security. Our staff has the authority to halt any event if hosts and guests refuse to follow these guidelines.

What happens if COVID-19 restrictions change?

The maximum number of guests is always dependent on the Alameda County health orders that are in effect on the day of your wedding. If the order calls for a maximum of three households, that is your maximum. If it allows for 25 people, that is your maximum. We cannot offer refunds for MicroWedding packages for changes in the ability to have higher guests counts than you expected. An option to move to a later date will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

All payments will be refunded if Shelter-In-Place orders are enacted, or if wedding ceremonies are not allowed by the county. If your event is not allowed to take place, you may choose to move to a later date if available.

How do I book a MicroWedding at the Camron-Stanford House?

A 50% deposit is due at the time you book your MicroWedding and sign your contract. The remaining balance must be paid 30 days prior to your event. To check availability, book a MicroWedding, or learn more please use our contact form.
